ABOUT THE ROLE
The Plant Administrator is a key member of the operations team; expense tracking, supporting data management and system reporting. The Plant Administrator will work closely with the field operations and finance to ensure best practices are followed. The Plant Administrator will effectively manage and process the administrative functions for the aggregate plants which include finance, forecasting, payroll, accounts payable, resolving supplier invoice issues, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in supporting operations in the lower mainland and will be required to work in person at our designated office location.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Financial Management: Complete accurate mid-month and monthly EBITDA financial forecast, request PO for purchase expenses and process receiving records. Assist plant managers with monthly expense accruals, p-card purchases and T&E reports. Create purchase orders and receive records for Ariba system purchases. Manage and set up invoicing plans for HME leases and rentals. Create check requisitions, submit government remittances as well as track and issue purchase requisitions for all CAPEX projects ensuring the buy ways policy is in compliance. Allocate and reconcile fuel consumption to all site specific equipment. Maintain consistent tracking of equipment hours, issue equipment maintenance notifications and work orders to ensure preventative maintenance KPI’s are met. Track work orders for costing purposes and provide information to plant managers. Provide daily and weekly reporting to Land Owners for Royalty submission.
- Vendor Focus: Ensuring all vendors meet Amrize’s policy within Avetta before requesting Purchase orders. Create new vendor requests while maintaining existing records. Resolving supplier invoice discrepancies between supplier and Financial Services Center. Maintain frequent action of SAP workflow to ensure vendor and supplier payments are generated within Amrize’s terms. Resolve SAP vendor exceptions (GR creation, invoice adjustments, etc)
- Production Management: Work closely with plant managers to accurately track production, reprocessing, sales, internal and external imported material minimizing write-offs, and variances and ensuring targets are met.
- Labor Management: Responsible for processing payroll for all plant personnel ensuring cost center coding and work orders are assigned accurately. Submit employee vacation request forms and new hire packages. Ensure the timely, consistent and accurate entry of labor hours/overtime hours. Make adjustments to employee files for tracking purposes.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: A post-secondary education is required, preferably with an Accounting Diploma or other Business Administration background.
Required Work Experience: 3 - 5 years of accounting experience is preferred in addition to other relevant construction materials experience
Required Technical Skills: Advance Excel Skills

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
