ABOUT THE ROLE
This position drives strategy execution by overseeing and managing all operations within a defined market and product line. The specific areas of focus include, but are not limited to, employee productivity, operational efficiency, customer service levels, and employee retention and satisfaction by maintaining a positive working environment.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Collaborates with the General Manager and support teams to set objectives and long-term goals for the region.
- Transforms high-level objectives into measurable goals for your area, ensuring the successful execution of all approved strategies.
- Guides managers to ensure operations meet business objectives.
- Supports the region in achieving P\&L targets by identifying improvements and leveraging resources.
- Participates in the preparation of operating budgets.
- Conducts operations reviews to assess cost drivers, monitors operational volumes, material use, and inventory. Also reviews financial statements and KPIs to identify areas for cost reduction and program improvement.
- Develops staffing plans, manages personnel including recruitment, supervision, and performance appraisals. Prioritizes staff workloads, develops employee skills, and works with HR on employee development and succession planning.
- Continuously improves operations, reduces turnaround times, streamlines processes, and enhances customer service.
- Analyzes KPIs to develop strategies and recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborates with management to address customer service, union, and fleet-related issues.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's degree or 10-15 years of equivalent experience
Additional Education Preferred: Master's degree
Field of Study Preferred: Operations Management, Business, Civil or mechanical engineering or other related discipline or equivalent experience.
Required Computer and Software Skills: Microsoft Office and SAP
Travel Requirements: Frequent travel to company and customer sites in the SOR region.

• A maintenance mindset
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.
