ABOUT THE ROLE
Improve the efficiency and productivity of maintenance own personnel and third party maintenance services through good planning, follow up and optimization of all preventive, condition monitoring, Inspections, corrective maintenance tasks and projects related to the area. The objective is to achieve the set targets for equipment net availability at the lowest optimum and sustainable maintenance cost, in collaboration with all involved departments, following the maintenance guidelines.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Plan and schedule all corrective and preventive maintenance routines in SAP PM/DMS together with the specific execution responsibility, managing the WO flow from creation to confirmation.
- Generate detailed weekly and daily plans as well as the 13-week basic plan in coordination with other departments.
- Coordinate resources (parts, manpower, tools, rental equipment, equipment down time, etc.) to ensure the planned and scheduled jobs are carried out smoothly.
- Lead the preparation and consolidation of the shutdown plan (personal, third party services, materials, spare parts, equipment, tools, time, and critical path) for all departments.
- Assist in setting department objectives and in the development and execution of the annual maintenance budget, including tracking maintenance costs daily.
- Write detailed scopes of work for all major work, including shutdown activities and RFQs for bidding purposes.
- Ensure the tracking of performance indicators and lead After Action Reviews (AAR) for major shutdowns.
- Guarantee compliance with OH&S and environment policies for Maintenance personnel and contribute to plant housekeeping and cleanliness.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: Electrical Engineering Technologist, or equivalent field experience.
- Required Work Experience:
- Extensive experience electrical maintenance and repair; experience in inspections is an asset.
- Proven experience in planning major work and plant shutdowns using computer software.
- Experience with Computerized Mechanical Maintenance System (SAP).
- Knowledge of problem solving techniques (i.e. Pareto Analysis, Root Cause Failure Analysis, etc.).
- Strong computer skills
- Strong communicator (both oral & written).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interact with plant personnel.
- Highly motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Is well organized and systematic.
Additional Requirements:
- Travel Requirements: Less than 5%.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
