ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary focus of this position is to provide support in the areas of maintenance processes and systems, to manufacturing sites across Canada, plus the Pacific Northwest US, in order to achieve targeted maintenance KPI’s. This position will also provide expertise in order to facilitate the execution of maintenance related strategic initiatives from Group level.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Provides technical expertise in maintenance organization, preventive programs, inspection, planning, scheduling, and spare parts.
- Owns implementation of the Maintenance Management System (MMS) and supports CMMS implementation.
- Supports plants in reaching objectives and optimizing maintenance costs.
- Monitors KPIs and proposes action plans.
- Challenges and supports development of annual budgets and action plans.
- Identifies maintenance cost optimization opportunities and provides data for cost reference calculation.
- Identifies critical spare parts to optimize inventory and asset sharing.
- Cooperates with regional purchasing on spare parts strategy, sourcing, and materials.
- Supports plants in Major Maintenance Turnarounds.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: Bachelor or Undergraduate Degree; Masters or Graduate Degree preferred.
- Field of Study: Maintenance Engineering or related discipline.
- Work Experience: 5 to 7 years in plant maintenance position in a heavy industry, preferably in Cement operations.
- Certifications/Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, CMMS (Maximo and SAP PM).
- Travel Requirements: 60%

- Demonstrated Project Management skills.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
