ABOUT THE ROLE
Foothills Ready Mix, a division of Amrize North America, is seeking a Concrete Boom Pump Operator to join our team. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Daily operation of concrete boom pumps, up to 43m
  • Pumping of foundations, footings and flatwork
  • Pre-trip inspections, and basic daily maintenance of equipment
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma or equivalent 
Required Work Experience: 2 – 5 years of experience preferred, but not mandatory 
Required Training/Certifications: Must have valid CDL license, class 1 or 3. Must have valid air brake endorsement (Q). Must have clean driving record, as evidenced by drivers abstract
Travel Requirements: Must have reliable transportation to and from homebase (Airdrie, AB)


Additional Requirements: 

  • Must have a flexible schedule, with ability to work weekends and overtime where required
  • Must be safety conscious
  • Physically fit, with ability to lift in excess of 50lbs Basic mechanical aptitude 
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Use of basic handtools
  • Approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
