ABOUT THE ROLE
Ready Mix Drivers are responsible for the primary day-to-day delivery of Ready Mix Concrete to Job Sites within the Greater Calgary Area, home owner and industry clients. In this role as a Ready Mix Driver, you will be responsible for customer relationships, giving great service with a friendly attitude to ensure customers receive a high-level delivery and product from Amrize. This is a customer-facing role that requires a service-oriented mindset and a highly professional approach.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Maintain equipment by doing daily Pre and Post trip inspections, having a good sense of accountability to keep equipment clean inside and out.
- Build and maintain relationships of trust with customers in assigned geography. Always own the satisfaction of these customers.
- Responsible for consistent and reliable customer service through delivery. Maintain a delivery service that is a positive, hassle-free experience for Lafarge customers.
- Able to navigate around the city of Calgary and surrounding areas, to maintain on-time deliveries.
- Maintain strong working relationships with logistics, and operations teams as well as fellow operators.
- Have a flexible schedule. This position may require an individual to work different shifts as well be available weekends and/or evenings.
- Understand traffic rules and regulations in a commercial vehicle and be courteous on the road.
- Able to perform operation of electronic devices (Tablets, GPS, etc…)
- Amrize Ready Mix Training Program provided.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Training/Certifications: Need to have a Class 3Q (Air Brakes) or Class 1Q – 5-year drivers abstract REQUIRED to be sent in with your resume.
Required Work Experience: Preference given to those with construction and heavy equipment experience. Understanding of building materials industry, including product knowledge, is an asset.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to drive a manual shift truck transmission (not the same as a car)
- Construction and off-road experience is an asset
- Knowledge of the city of Calgary
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform tasks on electronic devices such as Tablets
- Relationship-building (External customers and internal Amrize personnel)
- Problem solving and decision making
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong sense of teamwork
- Be able to lift > 50lbs.
