ABOUT THE ROLE
The Project Manager answers directly to the Senior Project Manager. They have full responsibility
of the administrative side of the projects to include managing of all budgetary and financial aspects
related to the project, managing client and project team relationships, mentoring of team members
and are ultimately responsible for deliverables to the client. They are responsible for the overall
planning, direction, completion, and financial outcome of assigned projects. Manages, leads,
assists and monitors the work of Field Engineers, Project Coordinators, and Assistant Project
Managers. Coordinates closely with the Project Superintendent or Project Foremen. Develops,
approves, and monitors the project plan and schedule and makes appropriate modifications where
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Completing project tasks by organizing and controlling project elements.
- Developing project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management.
- Determining project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to
phases and elements, and reviewing subsequent bids from contractors. - Completing and preparing cost estimates.
- Determining project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements,
and sequencing project elements. - Maintaining project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving
problems. - Controlling project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and
recommending actions. - Controlling project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts.
- Preparing project status reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends;
recommending actions. - Managing/ coordinating activities of multiple on-site contractors to ensure project completion
- Maintaining product and company reputation by complying with Federal and State regulations as well as
corporate policies. - Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work
environments and areas.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's degree or 7 years of equivalent experience.
Field of Study Preferred: Construction or Project Management, Civil Engineering,
Required Work Experience: Work experience in heavy highway construction,or related industry with 7
years experience
Required Training/Certifications: Transportation Erosion Control Supervisor, Traffic Control Supervisor
Required Technical Skills: Proficient computer and communication skills, use of MS Office, Knowledge of
SAP is a plus, experience with spreadsheets
Travel Requirements: Required to travel and work directly on assigned projects
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test
