ABOUT THE ROLE

The Site Supervisor is responsible for the production and maintenance activities at the Coldwater Plant which it one of Eastern Canada’s most interesting limestone and granite operations. The Site Supervisor’s primary focus is to lead the health and safety of the site. This will be done while leveraging operational excellence to achieve the highest productivity at the lowest cost of production at all stages of the operation. The Site Supervisor will lead by example supporting alignment with all functional groups, including Safety, Environment, Land, and Manufacturing to drive communication and consistency. The Site Supervisor is part of the engagement with our neighbours and local communities to ensure we are viewed as a valued member of the industry and local community.

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Develop and instill a site level safety culture through consistent engagement with employees and contractors with an objective of “zero” harm.
  • Ensure front line employee compliance to all applicable local and regional health & safety policies and initiatives, including but not limited to hazard reporting, risk assessment, Working at Heights, Confined Space, Energy Isolation and Hot Work.
  • Directly responsible for the individual development, motivation and training of all direct reports to maximize their performance.
  • Determine manpower requirements and shift scheduling to meet production demands.
  • Manage and drive meeting daily production targets.
  • Oversee maintenance of mobile equipment fleet, including: Coordinating mobile equipment repairs & maintenance; Tracking work order completion.
  • Responsible to manage production and inventory forecasting to optimize yield and profitability.
  • Ensure site level compliance to Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) requirements, including but not limited to site plans, rehabilitation and dust control.
  • Manages daily water taking data to ensure compliance with Permits to Take Water (PTTW) at all respective sites.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: An undergraduate degree in business, marketing, or engineering.
  • Required Work Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Required Technical Skills: A strong background in digital tools, data management, and computer programming.
  • Travel Requirements: 5 to 10%.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
