ABOUT THE ROLE
The Regional Technical & Quality Manager oversees all regional technical, quality assurance, and quality
control operations to ensure product excellence, compliance, and safety. This role is responsible for
managing regional quality teams and laboratories, maintaining industry and corporate standards, and driving
continuous improvement across production and product lines.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- In collaboration with the Regional Technical Director, develop and execute regional technical strategies
and plans for new technical projects or product lines. Oversee internal and external product testing,
ensure qualified personnel perform tests per applicable standards, and monitor product performance
through statistical analysis - Manage and direct product approval processes for specific projects, including specification review,
product selection, submittals, and pre-placement conferences. - Communicate project details to Sales, Dispatch, and Plant teams.
- Lead and direct regional technical, QA, and QC functions to meet internal and customer specifications
while ensuring safe, compliant operations across all facilities. - Manage and train laboratory and quality personnel; ensure testing accuracy, equipment calibration, and
adherence to corporate and industry quality systems. - Collaborate with production, sales, and technical teams to improve materials, processes, and product
lines while balancing quality, cost, and profitability. - Identify and resolve quality issues, control nonconforming products, and drive continuous improvement
initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. - Ensure safe, environmentally responsible operation of all regional quality areas and maintain effective
communication with customer service, sales, and plant operations. - Lead responses to customer concerns and complaints, ensuring issues are resolved promptly while
promoting proper use of company products and sharing updates on new technologies and practices. - Track and analyze product rejections and nonconformances, reporting trends and corrective actions to
senior management and cross-functional teams. - Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and
environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these
behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's degree
Field of Study Preferred: Civil Engineering
Required Work Experience: 10 years relevant experience required. 15+ years preferred
Required Training/Certifications: EIT required. PE preferred
Required Technical Skills: : Must have a thorough and direct knowledge of concrete and construction
aggregates, and all associated materials, such as cement, pozzolans, and admixtures, as related to concrete
and aggregate production and delivery.
Travel Requirements: 25 - 30%
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
