ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary responsibility of the Senior Logistics Supply Chain Manager will be creating, implementing
and managing our logistics regional strategy that will include the daily procurement and management of
the road, rail and waterway network effectively and efficiently. Attention will be on implementing and
managing a market strategy to achieve best in class rates and services. The position will also include
managing network health and partnerships across the area of responsibility. The Senior Logistics
Manager will ensure that Carriers meet the Company established safety requirements that span the
entire scope from onboarding to customer deliveries. The Senior Logistics Manager will lead and own
Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigation when incidents occur. Lead strategic sourcing efforts for
inbound and outbound activities. Lead and mentor the Road team and the broader organization when
priorities change.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Develop the logistics strategy for Sub Region Aggregate logistics operations
  • Define and validate Logistics zone structures and bill / pay rates
  • Define hauler contractual structures and incentives, defining internal vs external routes to
    optimize value
  • Identifies and supports the implementation of logistics digital management tools
  • Oversees the production network and participates (leads) in SPB meetings to optimize
    sourcing plans
  • Monitors internal asset performance including utilization, cost to operate and benchmarking
  • Coordinates with Finance to define logistics P&L and Sr Analyst to benchmark hauler
    performance
  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all
    work environments and areas.
  • Responsible for driving down cost at every opportunity. Focus on maximizing savings and
    value while eliminating loss or excess cost. Develop purchasing expertise for responsible
    markets.
  • Achieve cost savings through: overall rate reductions, lane reductions, destination zone,
    mileage table, backhaul and winter rates.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR  

  Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management/Business/Industrial Engineering and at least 5 years directly related experience or at least 10 years of directly related experience.  Knowledge of     SAP, Microsoft Office and other ERP systems preferred

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved
    Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable
    law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator sealmeets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
