ABOUT THE ROLE
Amrize Canada Inc. in Medicine Hat is looking for a part time casual Dump Truck Driver to join the team. 
You will drive a truck equipped with a dump body to transport and dump loose materials, such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, coal, or bituminous paving materials. Haul and deliver materials to and from specified vendors and job sites including loading and unloading in designated areas.

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Communicates with load and unload areas, hauls materials safely to designated areas and  maintains safe speed and observes all haulage.
  • Performs walk-around pre-trip safety inspections. Identifies safety problems or concerns and reports any unsafe conditions to Supervisor including near misses and areas where safety can be improved.
  • Maintain an effective system of communications with supervisors and customers serviced.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High School diploma required 
Required Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years operating a dump truck
Required Technical Experience: Class 3 license required.


Additional Requirements: 

  • Mechanical know-how not required but considered an asset.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
