ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a motivated Graduate or early career professional to join our dynamic team, where you will help bridge the gap between technical resource management and strategic land development.
As a Land & Resource Co-ordinator, you will support the full lifecycle of our operations - from targeting and acquiring new aggregate properties to ensuring reclamation compliance at the end of a site's life. You will work cross functionally within Mining Engineers, Geologists, Land Managers, GIS Specialists, Operations, Environmental team and external stakeholders to sustain and grow our footprint across Western Canada.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Acquisition and Due Diligence: Under direction from Land Manager, assist in the targeting and evaluating potential aggregate properties for acquisition or lease to sustain regional operations.
- Permitting and Approvals: Support the process of securing land and resource permits from provincial and municipal government bodies. Ensure the paperwork is kept up to date for all permits and approvals and actions are taken when updates are required.
- Stakeholder engagement: Help maintain positive relationships with landowners, neighbours, and local communities as directed by the Land Manager.
- Regulatory Compliance: Develop an understanding of laws, agreements and contracts related to real estate, zoning and reclamation. Support the annual reporting process for SK1300 (SEC), alongside all relevant stakeholders.
- Data Management: Ensure all land and resource documents are properly maintained, data is timely communicated and support the ongoing development of the Land Information System (LIS).
- You may be required to assist the Land Manager or Geological team on field exploration activities, site walk-overs, etc.
- Assist with volumetrics where appropriate and ensure the mine plans that have been agreed via permitting are adhered to.
- Data Management: Ensure all SK1300 reports accurately reflect the land and mining situation of the site for annual reporting.
- Technical Tools: Utilize software such as AutoCAD and ArcGIS to assist with the Land and Resource team as required.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Field of Study Preferred: Geology, Mining, Business, Engineering, Commerce, C.E.T., or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Work Experience: 0-2 years required.
Required Training/Certifications: AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS or equivalent.
Required Technical Skills: AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS is a requirement, Microsoft Office (especially Excel) is a requirement. Experience with surveying is an asset. Experience with aggregates and land development would be an asset.
Additional Requirements:
- Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS or equivalent and/or volumetric software would be a significant advantage.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills are an essential for this role, with the ability to represent the company at public or governmental functions.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Multitasking: This will be a busy role with multiple projects on the go at one time, the person must be organized with a good ability to juggle competing priorities.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
