ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Amrize Technical Centre Manager, the Product Specialist position supports the growth of branded products and new technologies sales by managing the transfer of knowledge and the industrialization of new products into the operational units. This position is also responsible for coordinating requests made by operations for product support.
This position is part of the Amrize Technical Centre Team. This team supports Amrize customers through New Product Development (NPD), innovative customer solutions and customer support.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Collaborate closely with the Amrize Technology & Innovation (T&I) team to drive new product initiatives from concept to launch.
- Market Implementation: Oversee the direct market implementation and roll-out of new solutions and products.
- Value Proposition & Strategy: Conduct visibility and feasibility studies to accurately capture and define the value proposition of new initiatives.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all new products meet and comply with relevant industry specifications and quality standards.
- Technical Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for managing complex customer technical requests, providing expert-level technical understanding and support.
- Proof of Concept Leadership: Lead the full proof of concept (PoC) lifecycle, including the execution of all necessary lab work and testing.
- Training & Onboarding: Develop and deliver product knowledge (P&K) training sessions for new hires and Quality Control (QC) personnel.
- External Relations: Cultivate and manage relationships with academic institutions and external suppliers to source and drive new initiatives and solutions.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering Material, chemical or civil
Field of Study Preferred: Concrete and Materials
Preferred Work Experience: 2 Years in RMX technical role
Required Training/Certifications: EIT or P.ENG (Professional Engineer registered with APEGA)
Additional Requirements:
- In depth knowledge of cement, concrete and aggregate technology.
- Experience managing or supervising the laboratory or field testing of cement, concrete or aggregate products (mix designs, preparation of test samples etc).
- Experience in concrete mix design development and performance evaluation.
- Experience working with CSA A23, A3000 and ASTM standards related to construction materials
- Experience in analyzing/reporting results and maintaining records.
- This role requires someone who can work with autonomy and lead teams at operational industrial plants and on construction sites.
- Must be able to work in outdoor and indoor work environments
- Able to perform a variety of tasks, including moderate to heavy lifting
- This role will require the handling of cements, aggregates, concrete and equipment.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
