ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Sales Representative, you will be the primary contact for customer accounts, promoting Amrize Precast’s standard products, services, and solutions. Reporting to the Precast Sales Manager, you will work closely with internal teams to support customers and grow sales in the greater Edmonton area. The role focuses on building strong customer relationships, understanding client needs, and achieving sales targets.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Drive sales growth by providing responsive customer service, technical expertise, and timely quotations.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships as the primary point of contact for your portfolio of accounts.
- Ensure accurate and efficient order management, from quotation and order entry through delivery and project completion.
- Support inventory and rental program performance to meet customer and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, detailing, and other internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and according to customer expectations.
- Interpret construction drawings and project requirements to provide effective solutions and product recommendations.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and account records to support operational excellence and audit compliance.
- Contribute to the development and expansion of standard product offerings to meet evolving market needs.
- Monitor project progress and coordinate resources to ensure work aligns with customer purchase orders and project objectives.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Technical Diploma in Construction / CET, or Business Administration Diploma
Additional Education Preferred: P. Tech. / CET
Field of Study Preferred: civil engineering technologist, business administration
Required Work Experience: 3 years of experience in sales, estimating or relevant construction/manufacturing experience
Required Training/Certifications: Class 5 Driver’s License
Required Technical Skills: MS Office, Google Suite, Salesforce, SAP
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience using Sales Force Lightning system preferred
- Experience with SAP preferred
- Knowledge of other construction practices (electrical, mechanical, structural, etc.).
- Excellent organization and planning skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong team player with a positive attitude
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
