ABOUT THE ROLE

Develop technical documents within the engineering department to support multiple facets of the business. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Documentation Creation: Develop comprehensive and user-friendly documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, specifications, release notes, and troubleshooting documentation. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather information and ensure the accuracy of technical content.
  • Content Maintenance: Regularly update and revise existing documentation to reflect product updates, enhancements, and changes. Monitor feedback from users and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Product Managers, Sales, and other teams to gather information and ensure product functionality and documentation alignment.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct reviews and edits to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all written materials. Perform usability testing to validate the effectiveness of documentation.
  • Documentation Standards: Establish and maintain documentation standards, style guides, and best practices. Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure documentation remains relevant.

 

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, etc.), or four years of experience as a Technical Writer 
  • Required Computer and Software Skills: Proficiency with MS Office required. AutoCAD and SolidWorks experience a plus.
  • Travel Requirements: None – must be onsite at Grants Pass, OR facility
