ABOUT THE ROLE
As we continue to look for more sustainable ways to build, we need world-class talent to join our team. We are seeking an Health & Safety Intern for Summer 2026 who is passionate about sustainability, driven by curiosity and keen to grow, learn, develop and thrive in our high-performance culture. This opportunity will be a 10-week, paid internship beginning May 27th, 2026.
This internship will be based at our site in Holly Hill, SC.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Work to ensure that plant personnel and contractors are operating in a safe manner. To revitalize and update current safety programs. Candidates will have daily interactions with employees out in the field while fine-tuning safety procedures where necessary.

Actively participates in continuous improvement on safety initiatives.

Ensure that all field equipment is operating properly; identify and inform of any field problems.

Perform inspections, troubleshooting and quality testing, and provide documentation and reporting as required or as directed by the Supervisor.

Specific accountabilities:

Manage given projects from start to finish

Review, renew and relaunch current safety programs.

Perform any and all other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for enthusiastic students who meet the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program majoring in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or similar filed.

Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, database systems, and analytics.

Willing to spend time out in the field getting to know the business first hand.

Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.

Tech savvy with the ability to learn new software quickly.

Strong relationship building skills and attention to detail.

Proven track record of teamwork, adaptability, initiative and integrity.

Self-motivated with an ability to manage multiple projects at once.
SCHEDULE AND ENVIRONMENT

This is an onsite role; the intern will be expected to be onsite Monday - Friday and work an 8-hour shift (40 hours per week is mandatory).

In this internship position, you will be working in Holly Hill, SC.

You will be responsible for your own transportation to and from your worksite for the summer.

Throughout the duration of your internship, you may be required to travel for site tours, shadow experiences, or intern events.
