ABOUT THE ROLE
The Maintenance-Production Technician will be responsible for the set up, operation, preventative, and corrective maintenance on production machinery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical background and demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.
Pay: $27.00 + $1.00 shift differential
Schedule: 11pm - 7am (M-F)
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
- Operate and monitor production machinery in accordance with company standards and safety guidelines
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues to minimize production downtime
- Carry out preventive maintenance procedures as scheduled
- Assist with the installation, setup, and modification of machinery
- Read and interpret production work orders for size/print of finished material
- Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
- Conduct quality checks and ensure finished products meet specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Record production data and report any issues to the supervisor
- Work is performed in a normal manufacturing environment (without climate control)
- Drive forklift to stack/unstack and move products and materials
- Follow safe work practices and maintain a working knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures.
- Must be willing to work assigned shift and overtime as needed (both during the week and Saturdays if production demand requires it)
- Employee shall participate in maintaining 5S in all areas of the facility, including sweeping, cleaning, organizing, and other related tasks.
- Employee will be expected to perform any other assignments and duties as assigned.
- Complete regular checks to make sure our wrap meets quality standards including Miami Dade qualification for roofing underlayment
- Able to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet for long stretches
- Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities, equipment logs, and repair histories
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and PPE requirements
- Respond to maintenance requests quickly and safely to minimize downtime
- Assist with facility maintenance tasks like basic plumbing, lighting, HVAC, and general repairs
- Keep maintenance logs and records up to date
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma or GED; technical certification a plus
Required Work Experience: 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read mechanical schematics or wiring diagrams
- Basic facility maintenance knowledge (lighting, plumbing, HVAC systems, etc.)
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
- Willingness to be on-call or work overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and maintenance best practices
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
