ABOUT THE ROLE

The Production & Facility Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery as well as managing general facility upkeep. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical background and demonstrate a commitment to safety, efficiency, and quality.

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues to minimize production downtime
  • Carry out preventive maintenance procedures as scheduled
  • Assist with the installation, setup, and modification of machinery and production lines
  • Maintain and repair facility infrastructure, including lighting, plumbing systems, and building structures
  • Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities, equipment logs, and repair histories
  • Collaborate with production staff and supervisors to address mechanical issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and PPE requirements
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance work area and related tools
  • Respond to maintenance requests quickly and safely to minimize downtime
  • Assist with facility maintenance tasks like basic plumbing, lighting, HVAC, and general repairs
  • Keep maintenance logs and records up to date
  • Work closely with machine operators and supervisors to resolve mechanical issues
  • Help install new equipment and assist with machine changeovers
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills 
  • Familiarity with tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to read mechanical schematics or wiring diagrams
  • Basic faciliy maintenance knowledge (lighting, plumbing, HVAC systems, etc.)
  • Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
  • Willingness to be on-call or work overtime as needed 

Additional Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED; technical certification a plus
  • Welding or fabrication experience
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and maintenance best practices
