ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role, you will manufacture quality metal products in conjunction with the Duro-Last prefabricated roofing system. The person in this role will aslo be responsible for training staff on the proper manufacturing techniques and machine operations. 

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Manufacture EXCEPTIONAL Metal products using sheet metal and fabrication to technical specifications
  • Complete necessary production tracking on a tablet or laptop
  • Train less experienced staff in proper metal techniques and machine operations
  • Machine operator
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Ability to effectively read and use a tape measure
  • Ability to read and interpret protractors and calipers (both manual and electronic).
  • Complete Daily Production Logs and necessary M.O. Data on the MES tables without assistance.
  • Complete required SPC documents without assistance.
  • Perform required Forklift operations without assistance.
  • Assist with inventory requirements to include RM organization, cycle counting and accurate reporting of products used where required
  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
  • Manufacture EXCEPTIONAL Metals products utilizing sheet metal and fabricating to Technical specifications. Production Level II personnel are fully trained and able to independently run at least eight (8) of the following twelve (12) production operations without assistance: 
  • Metal Shear
  • Metal Notcher
  • Metal Punch
  • Metal Slasher
  • 10 & Brake
  • 20 & Brake
  • Base Roll Former
  • Dielectric D/E Welder
  • Dielectric Bar & Corner Welder
  • Leister hot Air Welding
  • Dielectric bar welder and/or Hot Air Lineal Welder
  • Laminate splitting machine
  • Shipping and Receiving (including Packing)
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Required Work Experience: Must have prior metal fabrication experience – 2 years minimum
  • Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic computer knowledge

  • Train and teach others
  • Interpret or advise others
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.

 

PAY: $22-$25/hour
