ABOUT THE ROLE

Work as part of a team to ensure the continuous operation of the cement distribution Terminal. To maintain, troubleshoot and repair terminal equipment in accordance with terminal needs within OSHA and Amrize safety guidelines.

 

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Practice and promote safety in such a way as including but not limited to; assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Strict adherence to all Amrize Safety Directives striving to achieve ZERO Lost Time Accidents, Medical and First Aid Incidents.
  • Performs work in the areas of mechanical maintenance, mobile equipment repair.
  • Fabrication, assembly, welding and cutting following safe and accepted maintenance practices to maintain high equipment reliability.
  • Dismantles repairs and reassembles equipment.
  • Resolve maintenance and electrical difficulties.
  • Performs proactive/predictive maintenance through the use of advanced tools (thermograph, vibration, ultrasound, oil analyses, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot potential concerns required to achieve and maintain maximum productivity.
  • Report maintenance problems to the Terminal Manager for action and/or participate in corrective actions if appropriate.
  • Keep up to date on all maintenance procedure changes and be instrumental in developing new procedures as required.
  • Perform preventative/proactive inspections and document findings as directed by the Terminal manager.
  • Exercise good housekeeping practices at all times.
  • Fill out and follow up on all work orders and assist, when necessary, in locating and procuring of parts and materials.
  • Other duties, as assigned which will include all duties associated with the daily operations of a distribution terminal.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

 

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Additional Education Preferred: Associate's degree

Field of Study Preferred: Technical Degree

Required Work Experience: 5-7 Years in mechanical maintenance

Required Training/Certifications: Trade certificate, technical degree or equivalent and/or relevant

experience

Required Technical Skills:  Basic computer skills associated with MS office products, email and clerical type software.

Travel Requirements: Possible but not likely

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Position also requires: walking, climbing, bending, stooping and heavy lifting. Good understanding of the basic tasks associated with distribution facilities. High degree of safety awareness.
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work with minimum direct supervision.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
