ABOUT THE ROLE
The sales manager will be responsible for managing the sales team by establishing sales territories, volume targets and profitability objectives within the Greater Montreal/ Laurentians market area. In order to achieve volume/share, price and other critical revenue objectives, the incumbent of the position must coordinate, implement, and execute the overall company strategy with his team and working closely with the directors of the other departments. Manage and coach the sales team while developing a high-performance sales culture that will produce results through the implementation of the ready-mix concrete (RMX) commercial and sales plan in the Greater Montreal Market Area (GMA) / Laurentians. The incumbent manages customer relations, promotions and G&A budget for the market area while working with the area management team to establish the annual budget.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Strong leadership & operational support towards ensuring full compliance with Amrize Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Responsible for coordinating the delivery of the strategic framework and related action plans for the market.
- Ensure that sales representatives have a clear strategy for their accounts.
- Complete the annual business plan, based on segmentation and systematic pricing module including profit margin management.
- Continuously develops offers to differentiate the company as a supplier of choice.
- Takes charge of the pricing strategy, the preparation of offers and the negotiation with large clients and on major projects.
- Builds effective monthly sales forecasts for the management team.
- Manages the sales force to ensure that all potential projects are quoted and followed up.
- Leads, coaches, and motivates sales team to meet or exceed targets for revenue, market share, margin, profit, and DSO targets.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: Bachelors
- Additional Education Preferred: College degree in Civil Engineer
- Field of Study Preferred: Business, marketing, or engineering.
- Required Work Experience: 7 to 10 years Required Technical Skills: Microsoft suite, SAP, Sales Force Travel Requirements: 50%

- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent people management skills: ability to develop effective internal and external relations.
- Disciplined and process-oriented.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
