ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Supervisor at our Portable Recycle Plant, one of Amrize’s recycle concrete operations in Eastern Canada, you'll be at the forefront of our mining, production, and maintenance activities. Your unwavering commitment to health and safety will be paramount as you drive operational excellence to achieve peak productivity at the lowest cost. You will be a hands-on leader, fostering strong collaboration and consistency across all functional groups, including Safety, Environment, Land, and Manufacturing.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Champion a site-wide safety culture, striving for a "zero harm" environment for all personnel and contractors.
- Drive operational excellence to achieve optimal productivity and cost efficiency across all stages of the operation.
- Lead and develop your team, maximizing individual and collective performance within a non-union environment.
- Successfully meet production and maintenance demands through effective planning and resource management.
- Ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of the plant and mobile equipment fleet.
- Contribute significantly to the plant's financial performance by managing budgets and identifying cost reduction opportunities.
- Ensure steadfast compliance with all regulatory requirements, including those from the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks and environmental permits.
- Responsible for managing production and inventory forecasting to optimize yield and profitability.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a production or heavy industrial environment.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a non-union workforce.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for daily operational tasks, data management, and reporting.
- An undergraduate degree in business, marketing, or engineering, OR equivalent experience demonstrating strong leadership and operational acumen.
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
- Valid “G” license is required.
- Ability to travel (approximately 30% of the year) and stay overnight at crushing campaign locations within and outside the GTA
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
