ABOUT THE ROLE

The Maintenance team’s purpose is to ensure the physical plant’s equipment is operational.

The Maintenance Supervisor will take decisive ownership of their shift, directing all activities

of maintenance technicians and holding the team strictly accountable for performance, safety,

and efficiency. This leader will seamlessly coordinate maintenance activities and priorities with

 the production team leads. This person must be a safety conscientious team player. Support

may be required outside of normal business hours, as this role involves a twenty-four hour

working environment with multiple shifts and varying schedules.

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Typical Maintenance Leadership and Management Duties
    • Provide strong, hands-on leadership for the maintenance department, establishing clear expectations and driving accountability for all maintenance technicians on the assigned shift.
    • Ensure accurate time and attendance within UKG and ensure timecards are signed off weekly on time.
    • Ensure all components, parts, and materials utilized during repairs are accurately and completely captured on their respective work orders.
    • Read, refine and develop preventive maintenance and other maintenance related documents (ECP’s and work orders).
    • Strictly enforce and perform lockout/tagout procedures per company policy.
    • Demonstrate and enforce an understanding of general safety protocols relating to mechanical operations.
    • Participate, as needed, in the Process Safety Management program.
    • Other duties as assigned. 
  • Routine Maintenance Activities & Training
    • Ensure shift maintenance techs are capable of the assemble and disassemble of machinery to make repairs, troubleshoot, perform inspections, or replace with new items.
    • Train maintenance techs on shift to act as a mechanical troubleshooter who uses a systematic process to identify root cause issues.
    • Apply knowledge and experience with Hydraulics and Pneumatics, working with systems, reservoirs, pumps, valves, sensors, cylinders, piping, tubing, hoses, switches, and motors.
    • Utilize drawings and diagrams (electrical, piping, PID loops) to identify failed components and speed up repairs. 
  • Advanced Maintenance Approaches (TPM & RCM)
    • Learn, train and drive the execution of the TPM & Reliability Centered Maintenance programs.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Certifications in mechanical/industrial fields (electrician, millwright, welding, etc.) preferred.

Required Work Experience:

  • Five or more years’ experience in an industrial environment as a maintenance supervisor.
  • Preventive Maintenance experience with industrial equipment.
  • Experience with Predictive Technologies such as Vibration Analysis, Thermography, Ultrasound equipment, and Precision Alignment would be a plus.
  • Experience with routine maintenance on overhead cranes would be preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a Mobile Equipment test.
  • Must be able to perform work in aerial lifts, scissor lifts, on ladders or other elevated devices.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Travel Requirements: 

  • 0-5% - Travel may be required to coordinate maintenance and/or training efforts of self or team.  

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work in an indoor dusty non-air-conditioned industrial manufacturing and warehouse environment. Subject to temperatures that range from 65 to 90 degrees in the general working environment and hotter in certain areas of the plant.
  • Occasional outdoor activities in hot or adverse weather.
  • Twenty-four hour working environment with multiple shifts and varying schedules.
  • Must be able to lift up 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, railcar platforms, lift and carry hoses, kneel, bend, reach and stoop.
  • Periodic periods of prolonged sitting and data entry work.
  • Occasional forklift use.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
