ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Marketing department, the Manager of Meetings & Events will drive the execution of meetings, events, and tradeshows across multiple business units within Amrize Building Envelope. This dynamic role requires a professional who can simultaneously manage multiple high-intensity events at various stages of production while navigating complex, multi-layered budgets.

 

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and exceptionally composed under pressure. Because this position supports internal and external stakeholders, the ability to collaborate professionally across diverse teams is essential. We are seeking a strategic thinker with fresh perspectives who will bring a proactive voice to encourage innovation and positive change, while driving impactful experiences for customer events.

 

This role reports to the Sr. Director of Marketing, Engagement.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Meetings and Events 

  • Lead the planning and execution of meetings, tradeshows, and customer events. Partner with leadership and marketing teams to ensure all programs align with business priorities, brand positioning, and targeted customer tiers.
  • Develop and implement pre- and post-event marketing campaigns to drive awareness, attendance, and engagement. Utilize surveys and feedback loops to measure attendee satisfaction and overall ROI.
  • Provide regular reporting and metrics to showcase impact and improvements.
  • Build, track, and reconcile event budgets to programs on or under budget. Oversee all financial administrative tasks, including SOW deliverables, POs, invoices, and comprehensive post-event financial reporting.
  • Partner with the Procurement team to manage RFPs and contract negotiations. Research, source, and collaborate with agencies, venues, and vendors to design high-quality experiences while optimizing operational efficiency.
  • Deliver full-scale logistical execution, including theming, agenda development, registration, event technology, attendee communication, transportation, timelines, F&B, décor, AV, etc.
  • Act as the primary project manager for tradeshows, translate the vision and key booth elements from Building Envelope Marketing teams to the exhibit provider, while managing all booth logistics, space selection, and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Lead onsite teams and coordinate vendors during live events to ensure seamless operations and an exceptional attendee experience.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Communication

  • Ability to professionally consult and converse with individuals at various levels within and outside the organization both verbally and written.
  • Promote and maintain a positive rapport between customers, teammates and vendors to enhance internal and external customer satisfaction during events.
  • Able to write error-free event copy and communications. Clear understanding of structure, detail, and tone of communications.

Time & Expense Management

  • Manage and maintain a complex calendar, including scheduling and coordinating meetings and events across the Building Envelope division.
  • Process and submit expense reports accurately and timely, including tracking and allocating shared costs to appropriate business units and ensuring proper journal entries and cost recoveries are completed.

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, event management, communications, PR, marketing, business administration or related field required
  • CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) preferred
  • 6+ years in event management in planning and/or operations
  • Experience managing B2B tradeshow events and large-scale corporate events.
  • Experience in managing events outside the US is a plus.
  • Must have experience in each phase of event management - planning, operating and wrap-up
  • Must have experience with sourcing venues, vendors, AV, etc. utilizing online platforms where applicable.
  • Ability to travel ~30% of the time.

  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple meetings, events and tradeshows simultaneously while maintaining a calm, professional, and effective demeanor in fast-paced environments and adapting seamlessly to changing priorities and business requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, apply sound judgement, make effective decisions, and deliver high-quality results within established timelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and organizational awareness, with the ability to effectively navigate corporate cultures, stakeholder relationships, internal processes, and organizational priorities.
  • Budgeting management experience required.
  • Familiarity with contract language.
  • Experience with Cvent.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Workspace.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • The ideal candidate brings a deeply collaborative, ultimate team player mindset alongside the self-driven ability to excel at unstructured problem-solving.
