ABOUT THE ROLE

The Project Pricing Analyst is responsible for ensuring that project proposals are optimally priced to balance competitiveness and profitability. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Project Pricing Analyst helps drive financial performance and ensures that pricing strategies align with overall business objectives. Additionally, this role shall optimize the project price deviation (PPD) workflow and related approval process, streamlining deviation requests and ensuring strict compliance with established protocols.

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Lead administration and processing of project price deviations (PPDs) through Salesforce.
  • Evaluate the current project price deviation (PPD) process to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks, then collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement improvements that enhance process effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Define and implement guidelines and policies as they relate to project pricing.
  • Oversee compliance to the PPD process by rep firms through regular audits, targeted training, and clear communication of process standards, ensuring consistent compliance with established protocols.
  • Support calibration of project price optimization with the help of pricing software.
  • Support organizational efforts to change from inbound to outbound quoting.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to prepare competitive and compelling bids.
  • Collaborate with sales team to improve project price scorecard based on data insights and stakeholder feedback.
  • Ensure that all pricing data and assumptions are clearly documented for transparency and future reference.
  • Identify and implement improvements in the project pricing process to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analyze potential risks associated with pricing decisions and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Support analysis of pricing KPIs by products, regions, customers.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.
  • 1+ years of experience in pricing, finance, or commercial functions in B2B industries.
  • Proficiency with SAP, Salesforce, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, cost analysis, and data interpretation.
  • Strong mathematical, statistical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on execution, accuracy, and efficiency in pricing processes.
  • Experience with Tableau and Pricing Software, e.g., PROS or Vendavo.
  • Communicate effectively to stakeholders across functions and levels. 
  • Understanding of pricing compliance requirements, including SOX, Robinson-Patman, and antitrust laws.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
  • Employees that are required to wear respirators mustbe clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
