QMS and Supplier Quality Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Amrize Building Envelope is recruiting for a Manager of Quality Systems and Suppliers responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining its Quality Management System (QMS) and developing the company & supplier quality program . The role requires a proactive individual who can develop and manage system compliance, lead training programs, improve supplier performance, and address non-conformities to ensure continuous improvement and operational excellence.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
QMS Development and Maintenance
- Develop and sustain a QMS framework that aligns with ISO 9001 requirements and integrates with operational procedures.
- Regularly update the system to reflect changes in regulations and industry best practices.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001 standards across all departments.
- Training and development of employees across all levels of the organization on the aspects of the QMS and its applications.
- Equip employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to utilize the QMS effectively in their daily operations.
- Manage internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of any non-conformities.
Supplier Management
- Develop a supplier quality program to ensure supplier processes support the quality of products and services supplied to Amrize Building Envelope and its customers.
- Audit new suppliers or those identified due to Quality Product Reports (QPRs) or other issues.
- Pro-actively assess supplier capabilities, quality systems and processes to ensure they meet our standards.
- Work with suppliers, manufacturing sites, inventory management, and procurement to
resolve QPRs and other product or service issues in a timeframe outlined in our performance requirements. - Address customer complaints that are caused by suppliers and follow our process for root cause analysis and corrective / preventive action.
Training and Reporting
- Lead comprehensive training sessions for staff on the QMS and its applications.
- Train all affected departments on QMS implementation and changes.
- Develop key metrics and prepare monthly reports on supplier performance and the performance of the QMS.
- Prepare presentations for and facilitate metrics based management review meetings.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on audit results, stakeholder feedback, supplier quality results and performance data analysis.
- Promote a culture of quality, standardization and excellence within the organization.
- Promote continuous improvement opportunities to reduce complexity, rework, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Lead project teams to analyze, develop, and communicate QMS process roles and requirements.
- Develop strategies to prevent the recurrence of issues and enhance the overall quality of
processes.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in quality management systems or quality functions, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Experience with ISO 9001 or similar QMS certification is preferred.
- Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or an equivalent professional certification is preferred; Six Sigma certification is ideal.
- Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and experience in managing compliance.
- Knowledge of auditing principles and quality tools is also required.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to train and motivate teams.
- Experience in leading interdepartmental/cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.).
- Proficiency in statistical and quality tools like Statistical Process Control (SPC), Capability Indices (Cpk), and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) are desirable.
