ABOUT THE ROLE
Grows and leads a small technical sales team that focuses on the industrial and energy sector to provide
solutions to clients using all of the Amrize portfolio of products from foundation to rooftop. Focused in the
Gulf Region with North American reach when opportunities align. Utilizes existing, and develops new
relationships with EPC’s and General Contractors to drive new business. Tracks sales activities and works
with the General Manager to refine strategy of the Special Projects as industry trends shift. Manages the
team through the stages to secure a contract: opportunity identification, RFP/RFQ response (including price
strategy, proposal development, and assists with the review of contract Terms and Conditions), and stays
involved throughout the lifecycle of the project as the client liasion. Builds and fosters customer relationships.
Keeps abreast of marketing trends and changing customer requirements to help stategic vision of the team.

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  •  Product Line Coordination: work closely with all relevant Amrize product lines (i.e., ready mix concrete,
    aggregates, cement, and roofing) to ensure a consistent and effective offering to the customer, and that
    all potential synergies are maximized.
  • Proposal Response: Delegate sections of the RFQ/RFP to the appropriate teams (legal, risk, quality
    control, operations, and product lines) and manage the process to the point of securing the contract
  • Strategic Planning: Responsible for coordinating the completion of the strategic framework and related
    action plans for the market area. This is done annually in association with the rest of the area
    management and sales team. Ensure market intelligence is effectively collected, analyzed, and stored.
  • Sales Forecasting: Builds effective monthly sales forecasts for the management team. Manages the
    sales backlog in Salesforce and compares to prior periods to assess the risk/probability of meeting
    targets (volume, price, gross margin). Assigns accountability and develops actions for resolution.
  • Market Intelligence: Tracks and interprets market indicators (i.e., construction starts, building permits,
    political and regulatory influences) to understand key industrial and energy segment drivers.
  • Project Support: Act as the face of the company with periodic site visits to secured projects, attend
    project status meetings virtually or in person and ensure that both the client needs and the needs of
    Amrize are being met
  • Budgeting: Prepares a detailed annual budget with sound strategy/rationale. Accountability is assigned
    throughout the sales team
  • Credit and Collections: Works closely with the credit department to ensure that outstanding receivables
    are collected quickly. Assists with complex collection accounts
  • Human Resources: Develops and motivates staff. Selects, hires, trains, and terminates as required
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and
    policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. 

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's degree
Additional Education Preferred: Master's degree
Field of Study Preferred: Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business
Required Work Experience: Minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience; aggregates, ready mix, engineering or heavy construction industry experience preferred
Required Training/Certifications: Preferred Certifications: PE, FE, PMP, PMI-CP
Required Technical Skills: Proficient computer skills required - prior experience using SAP and Salesforce is preferred
Travel Requirements: 30-50%
