We’re seeking a Lead Industrial Maintenance Mechanic who's ready to be part of our mission to manufacture and deliver innovative, performance-driven building products with unmatched service and integrity. ABOUT THE ROLE

The Lead Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing mechanical maintenance and repairs on plant machinery and equipment, as well as coaching and leading others to perform the same tasks. This role involves troubleshooting issues, performing preventive maintenance tasks, and contributing to a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Responsible for adherence to company policies, including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Responsible for maintenance on plant machinery and equipment. Responds to repair and part requirements to maintain all machinery at its highest level of integrity.
  • Communicates and coordinates with production and maintenance supervisory personnel regarding equipment needs and requirements.
  • Assists in teaching others the necessary techniques and knowledge of the trade.
  • Maintains all tools and work areas in an orderly fashion.
  • Interprets mechanical prints, drawings, and technical data to conduct maintenance of machinery.
  • Determines plant machinery needs and requirements and communicates repairs and adjustments to maintenance and production supervisory personnel.
  • Works all shifts as directed. Works on an on-call basis in times of need.
  • Assist electricians and engineers on routine tasks as needed.
  • Delegates maintenance tasks as required.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous leadership experience in an industrial setting.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Five years of industrial work experience is preferred.
  • Working with computer programs such as Excel and Microsoft Word to complete daily work logs.
  • Strong communication skills.
