ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsible for the claims group which protects the interests of Amrize Building Materials as it relates to claims against warranted roofing projects. Responsible for managing a team of investigators that are responsible for investigating and analyzing claims against Amrize. This will include reviewing and finalizing position statements, reporting on claims data, negotiating claims to resolution, and communicating both inside and outside the company, including to building owners, contractors, sales and legal.

 

The ideal candidate will reside in Texas or the Nashville area. 

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Manage the workload of the investigators and provide review as needed to ensure the quality and timeliness of responses.
  • Acts as in-house technical services source for phone in questions by field people as they arise
  • Review written specifications and recommendations for completeness, clarity, and cost effectiveness
  • Issue purchase orders to contractors for claim work and order appropriate materials for resolution of claims
  • Travel in the field and perform investigations and handle claims as needed.
  • Developing strong and defensible claim positions on intricate and complicated issues and clearly communicating verbally and in writing to building owners, roofing contractors, sales representatives and lawyers.
  • Negotiating resolution to claims in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Managing a varied and busy work docket and balancing requirements and associated timing.
  • Interfacing with the law department to support claims that are approaching or have entered litigation.
  • Training Investigators on a variety of issues for maximum performance and career development, including claim investigation, technical writing, negotiating, and roofing practices.
  • Creating and implementing processes for the group to insure efficiency and proper resolution.
  • Developing reporting practices to track individual and team performance.
  • Interfacing with other departments including the rest of technical, R&D and sales to streamline processes and ensure that the claims group is taking actions in the best interest of the company.
  • Managing claims to minimize expenses and meet budget goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • At least 6 year’s related experience including at least 3 years management or direct/indirect leadership experience.

Additional Requirements

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.
