ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a results-driven Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building relationships with contractors, architects, consultants, property managers, and building owners to drive sales growth and promote Duro-Last’s roofing solutions. The candidate must be based out of Los Angeles. 

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Identify, prioritize, and pursue new sales opportunities through networking with existing contractors, key market influencers, and cold calling.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the contractor community to promote the company’s roofing systems, assemblies, and warranties.
  • Review construction project databases, bid boards, and specification platforms to identify new project opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs and trends.
  • Prepare and deliver product presentations to potential clients.
  • Create, modify, and assist with roofing system submittals, specifications, and details.
  • Deliver technical presentations, lunch & learns, and continuing education sessions for design professionals.
  • Coordinate with sales development coordinator and technical teams to support contractors bidding specified projects.
  • Track and report contractor activity, project pipeline, and conversion rates in CRM.
  • Stay current on industry standards, building codes, and competitive products that impact specification decisions.
  • Participate in industry associations, consultant networks, and trade events to strengthen company visibility and relationships.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and goals set by management.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial roofing, building envelope, or construction materials (sales, technical, or specification-related).
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of commercial roofing systems, assemblies, and installation practices necessary.
  • Familiarity with construction/building materials industry.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business management, engineering, or related field preferred.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.
