ABOUT THE ROLE
Amrize Construction, based in Saskatoon, SK is currently seeking a full-time Concrete Finisher - Lead Hand to join our team for municipal concrete projects. As a Concrete Finisher - Lead Hand, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the construction of concrete curbs, sidewalks, and other municipal structures. If you have strong leadership abilities and a background in concrete construction, we encourage you to apply for this position.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of concrete crew members, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards.
- Assist with the preparation of work sites, including setting up forms, pouring concrete, and finishing surfaces.
- Operate and maintain concrete construction equipment and tools.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Train and mentor junior crew members to develop their skills and expertise in concrete construction.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.

- Monitor quality control and ensure that all work meets industry standards and client expectations.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in concrete construction, with a focus on municipal projects.
Required Technical Skills: Basic aptitude for using applications. Must be tech-savvy with the ability to use Build2Win, SiteDocs and other programs.
Travel Requirements: 5%
Additional Requirements:
- Strong leadership abilities and the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in concrete forming, pouring, and finishing techniques.
- Knowledge of concrete curing methods, and surface treatments.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
- Valid driver & license and reliable transportation.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE").
