ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary focus of the Maintenance Supervisor is to oversee planned maintenance work to ensure it is of high quality, performed safely and efficiently at a lower cost to maximize equipment availability and optimize reliability.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Follow and ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure all contracts and job sites meet the requirements of the safety policy for the security of our employees.
- Review the weekly schedule and discuss concerns with the Maintenance Director and Production Director.
- Assign work to plant mechanics and review it with them.
- Organize the task schedule by priority and ensure compliance.
- Execute maintenance-related tasks in compliance with the highest standards for safety, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Streamline task execution and associated repair costs.
- Ensure equipment is in good condition and ready for operational requirements upon completion of repairs.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns to ensure rapid repairs.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: DEP in Industrial Mechanics, DEC in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technologist, or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred Field of Study: Industrial Mechanics or Mechanical Engineering.
- Work Experience: 5 years in supervising the execution of mechanical work.
- Technical Skills: Microsoft Suite and SAP.
- Travel Requirements: 10%.
Additional Requirements:
- Task optimization and technical knowledge transfer.
- Proven experience in executing major works and plant shutdowns.
- Knowledge of labor law and personnel management rules.
- Experience with computerized mechanical maintenance systems and the maintenance management module in SAP.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact with plant personnel.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
