ABOUT THE ROLE
The Quality Supervisor oversees daily laboratory operations and ensures the accuracy of chemical and physical testing for all materials. The primary objective is to guarantee that all products meet regulatory standards, agency requirements, and plant quality targets while maintaining a high level of operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Supervise and perform daily laboratory operations, including personnel scheduling for shifts, holidays, and overtime.
- Establish and maintain a good working relationship with our customers.
- Ensure all products remain within strict technical specifications (from aggregates to cement)
- Oversee the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment, ensuring all service schedules are strictly followed.
- Validate the accuracy and timeliness of all quality reports distributed to customers.
- Review daily blast results and monitor stockpile inventory to ensure adequate supply for customer demands.
- Coordinate with maintenance and production supervisors to optimize plant availability and throughput.
- Support the site management team with technical requirements for bid jobs and special projects.
- Enforce and demonstrate full compliance with all corporate Health & Safety policies and standards.
- Maintain continuous communication with the site management team regarding operational issues and laboratory results.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
Field of Study Preferred: Materials Engineering or a related field.
Required Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years proven experience in a laboratory or quality-controlled industrial environment. Previous Quality Control experience, with a strong understanding of material properties and geochemistry, is required.
Required Technical Skills: Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, SAP
Travel Requirements: <5%

- Technical proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and equipment maintenance protocols.
- Exceptional communication skills and a results-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex personnel schedules.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
