ABOUT THE ROLE

We offer a safe work environment, on-the-job training, up-to-date equipment, and room for advancement. The Plant Loader Operator / Trainee Asphalt Plant Operator is responsible for operating a loader to support asphalt plant production, including feeding cold feed bins, managing stockpiles, and assisting with plant maintenance. This role will also provide training opportunities to learn asphalt plant operations, with progression into plant operator duties over time.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

• Operate a loader to feed cold feed bins and maintain consistent plant production.
• Manage aggregate stockpiles and ensure proper material handling.
• Assist with asphalt plant maintenance, cleanup, and general site duties.
• Perform daily equipment inspections including fluids and general upkeep.
• Support plant operations to ensure safe and efficient production.
• Learn asphalt plant controls, systems, and operational procedures.
• Progress into plant operation responsibilities as training and experience develop.
• Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
• Demonstrate a commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies and promote a culture of safety.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education: High school education or equivalent.

Required Work Experience: 2–5 years experience operating loaders or similar heavy equipment preferred.

• Manual dexterity and ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn asphalt plant operations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work nights and weekends, as necessary.
• Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of PPE.
