ABOUT THE ROLE
The objective of this position is to promote and sell Amrize Precast products in the Manitoba,
Saskatchewan and NW Ontario Regions. Identify customer needs and proactively promote Amrize based building products/systems and Value Added Products. Manage a customer portfolio for profitability, segment coverage, and growth potential.
Structure: Reports directly to Sales Manager, Precast Manitoba Saskatchewan Region
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Part of the precast team, overseeing the sales of precast products within Manitoba , Saskatchewan, and NW Ontario while exploring and developing local market opportunities.
- Produce estimates, quotes and proposals for precast projects of all sizes and building segments, with consistent use of Salesforce and B2W tools to document customer interactions and prepare estimates.
- Spend approximately 75% of time directly with client site superintendents, project managers, subcontractors and head office personnel to develop and maintain a loyal customer base.
- Develop new customers and leverage relationships to grow the customer base using solution-based selling to proactively understand customer needs.
- Collaborate with customers to resolve problems, either internal or external, and assist in the coordination of deliveries to projects large and small.
- Promote extra products and services, including coaching internal customer contact points, and coordinate cross-product line sales for customers interested in other Amrize divisions’ products and services.
- Maintain extensive product knowledge within utilities and construction precast standard products and a strong grasp of all competitors’ actions, prices and strategies.
- Develop action plans, establish objectives and goals, track sales indicators/metrics, and produce reports to meet divisional targets.
- Represent the company within industry organizations, attend and participate in weekly sales meetings, interact with project, operational and estimating personnel, and support the Sales Manager/General Manager with information about local players, competitors and market conditions.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: University Degree or technical diploma in Business or Engineering preferred, or related experience.
Required Work Experience: Sales Experience in the construction industry, or direct construction experience, considered an asset. 5-10 years experience in the industry would be considered an asset.
Technical Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Enterprise systems

- Knowledge of Salesforce program and/or B2W to track and report market information pertaining to customers, projects and competitor activities.
- Business development to explore and develop local market opportunities and implement daily service strategies.
- Provide information about the market, advise which products should be kept in stock and which have development potential, and participate in the development and creation of customer presentations.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests
