ABOUT THE ROLE
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the completion of scheduled maintenance jobs to maximize equipment availability and optimize reliability. The primary focus is ensuring all work is performed with the highest level of quality, safety, and effectiveness at minimum cost. This role acts as a leader in safety and continuous improvement, aligning maintenance activities with the company’s vision. The position is located at Woodstock Aggregates.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Execute the weekly maintenance schedule and ensure compliance with established priorities.
- Maximize equipment availability through high-quality repairs and effective preventative maintenance programs.
- Streamline job execution and manage associated repair costs to maintain the department budget.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns promptly to minimize operational downtime.
- Ensure all equipment is returned to good operating condition and job sites are left clean after repairs.
- Promote strong communication and positive relations between the maintenance and production departments.
- Provide regular feedback and reporting on maintenance performance, including labor and material consumption.
- Investigate and implement corrective actions for all safety incidents and near misses.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: DEP in Industrial Mechanics, DEC in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technologist, or equivalent professional experience.
- Required Work Experience: 3 to 5 years of related experience in heavy equipment repair.
- Required Technical Skills: Experience with Computerized Mechanical Maintenance Systems (CMMS) and SAP maintenance management modules.
Additional Requirements:
- Proven experience in executing major work and plant shutdowns.
- In-depth knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of labor law and personnel management rules.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
