ABOUT THE ROLE

The position of Administrative Coordinator provides professional administrative support for internal and external customers, vendors, and staff of the Alpena Cement Plant.

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Ensures that all work is conducted in compliance with all administrative policies and procedures. Provides excellent customer service to employees, external customers, vendors and visitors, exceeding expectations of service.
  • Handles a wide range of administrative and support tasks and independently initiates and implements processes to manage projects, information, and people.
  • Schedules and coordinates meetings, travel, and other group activities.
  • Ensures quality control of work by developing clear, error-free documents to achieve a credible and professional presence in all written and electronic communication.
  • Prioritizes work to ensure that Manager is provided all relevant business information with accuracy and timeliness to positively impact the business.
  • Copies, routes and distributes correspondence and reports as requested.
  • Files and retrieves documents, records and reports.
  • Maintains records and management systems.
  • Assembles relevant data and compiles information as directed to meet deadlines.
  • May open and distribute mail.
  • Performs general office duties such as ordering supplies, processing purchase orders, updating department phone lists, etc.
  • May assist with overflow work from others as needed.
  • Arranges travel following general instructions; checks with supervisor in making significant changes.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.  Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education:  High school diploma or equivalent or n/a years of equivalent experience.

Additional Education Preferred:  Associate's degree

Field of Study Preferred:  College or technical school experience preferred
Required Work Experience:  Demonstrated proficiency in the duties of a Shipper Advanced and a minimum of 12 months of experience as a Shipper Advanced.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
