ABOUT THE ROLE

Controller & Amrize Building Envelope (“ABE”) Metals Finance Lead will support the General Manager of the ABE Metals Segment. This dual-role position is a strategic business partner responsible for overseeing the Anoka, Minnesota plant financials (cost accounting,reporting, month end close, and plant control implementation) and leading all finance aspects ofthe segment’s metal strategy.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Manage accounting operation(s) including costs, inventory, and oversight of plant controls being designed & implemented
  • Support month-end close and prepare monthly consolidated Metal segment reporting as needed for Senior Leadership and Plant Management
  • Monitor plant & Metals network inventory (raw material, packaging, finished goods, spareparts, etc.) movements and to identify and resolve potential financial exposure or process issues. (Waste, variances, blocked inventory, obsolescence etc.)
  • Deliver financial analysis and business cases for capital investments, operational changes, and commercial opportunities
  • Support Metals segment SOP processes and ensure financial alignment across functions
  • Prepare managerial reporting & presentation of findings with specific recommendations
  • Ensure the plant financial control processes and systems comply with company policy
  • Implement policy, KPI tracking, and strategy for short-term results and influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, best practices, & procedures
  • Evaluate standard cost, annual budget planning, as well as develop and maintain labor and overhead activity rates
  • Various other duties as assigned.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited university.
  • At least 7-10 years of progressive Finance experience operating in a performance /results-
    oriented culture
  • At least 2 years proven leadership and managerial experience.
  •  Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Proven experience handling multiple duties and completing assigned tasks accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Knowledge of budget & forecasting as well as proficiency with financial statement analysis and plant projection.
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office with advanced skillsets in Excel Modeling and Management
    Presentations


Preferred Qualifications:
• Plant Finance/Cost Accounting experience preferred.
• MBA preferred
• Experience with SAP or other relevant ERPs
