ABOUT THE ROLE
Main support for Geocycle quality and day to day operations at the Cement Plant. The primary objectives of the Geocycle Facility supervisor are the hands-on operation and supervision of the pre-processing and liquid facilities at the Brookfield Plant. The incumbent shall supervise the daily operation of the pre-processing facility and perform day to day operations of the liquid facility including, offloading and tank inventory, to deliver a consistent high quality supply of alternative fuels to the plant. The pre-processing facility has 3 hourly operators and a fleet of mobile equipment. The Incumbent will ensure technical excellence with respect to quality control and assurance of the inbound waste materials and pre-processed alternative fuels, in addition to continuous improvement of quality management systems and site laboratory.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Supervise the pre-processing facility and its operators, report on production, schedule maintenance when necessary
- Unload and document oil deliveries, record oil inventory levels daily, maintain oil facility
- Daily and weekly reporting on alternative fuel inventories, down time reporting
- Scheduling deliveries of alternative fuels (including inbound feedstock for pre-processing, waste oils, and tires) and facility consumables
- Laboratory testing of fuels
- Liaise between Geocycle, and Amrize Process/Production/Quality departments
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: Technical diploma preferred or equivalent professional experience with grade 12 education
- Additional Education Preferred: Mechanical, Chemistry, Environment, Maintenance
- Required Work Experience: 3+ years in industrial operations
- Required Training/Certifications: Valid drivers license
- Required Technical Skills: Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, SAP Applications
- Travel Requirements: <5%
Additional Requirements:
- Experience with Geocycle, waste, or cement industries is considered an asset
- Offloading oil tankers experience preferred
- Laboratory experience (titrations, bomb calorimetry) preferred
- Work in unionized environment preferred
- Knowledge of shunt trucks, walking floor trailers, and forklifts considered an asset
- Work at heights knowledge considered an asset
- Hot Work knowledge considered an asset
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved
- Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
- Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
