ABOUT THIS ROLE

Amrize, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Batch Plant Operator RMX  to support our plant operations in Brooklyn, Newyork. This position is primarily responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the ready-mix concrete plant, ensuring accurate batching, quality control, and timely delivery of concrete in accordance with production schedules and safety standards.

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Operate batching equipment to produce ready-mix concrete according to specific mix designs and quality standards.
  • Monitor and adjust mix components (cement, aggregates, water, admixtures) to ensure consistency and meet customer specifications.
  • Coordinate with drivers and dispatch to ensure timely loading and delivery of concrete orders.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance on batching systems and related machinery.
  • Maintain accurate production and delivery records, including batch tickets and inventory logs.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with plant personnel, drivers, and customers to resolve issues and maintain workflow.

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Field of Study Preferred: N/A
  • Required Work Experience: 6 months to 1 year of related experience required.
  • Travel Requirements: N/A
  • Strong knowledge of concrete mix designs and batching procedures
  • Familiarity with batching software and plant control systems (e.g., Command Alkon, Jonel)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical and operational issues
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with drivers, dispatch, and plant personnel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measuring and recording batch data
  • Commitment to safety protocols and adherence to company and environmental regulations

 

Additional Requirements:

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests
