ABOUT THE ROLE

 

The Messaging & Cloud Solutions Manager is in charge of the technical, architectural, and operational elements for all the Collaboration & Communication applications and all digital solutions in scope. Responsibilities include road map ownership of the various IT technologies and the ability to act as 3 rd level expert in the various aspects of the underlying systems, specifically in the area of Enterprise Messaging and Cloud Solutions (Google Workspace, Google Cloud Platform, CloudM and M365), where they are expected to be the Subject Matter Expert. 

 

The position requires a deep knowledge of the solution capabilities provided from the business side and is in charge of the overall technical activities performed for the IT applications and solutions to match the business needs in compliance with the Amrize IT standards. This position needs to interact on a regular basis with key IT experts as well as business and end users in a consulting / trusted advisor role. Priority is to ensure a high agility and effectiveness toward business and other IT teams such as Infrastructure, Architecture, Security, IAM, and Service Management.

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Support IT projects with efficient task prioritization via analyzing business needs, building, testing, and roll out. Control and monitor Change Requests related to assigned
    applications and component services ∙ Act as 3rd level support for the applications & solutions in scope.
  • Ensure the correct services & solutions are implemented globally in a sustainable manner ∙ Ensure the technical aspects of the applications & solutions match with surrounding ecosystems and the solution / business roadmaps and requirements.
  • Ensure alignment of technical design of the solutions with overall IT architecture standards (including
    documentation)
  • Ensure an efficient delivery by managing and reviewing the quality of the assignment of the offshore / external teams.
  • Perform all activities in accordance with the Corp IT governance and policies.
  • Manage the IT services and technical elements required for all messaging and collaboration infrastructure, permissions, client access, mail protection, and mail flow in on premise, hybrid cloud, and enterprise cloud environments
  • Act as service owner and service delivery manager for all services in scope.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's degree
Additional Education Preferred: Master's degree
Field of Study Preferred: Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline with an IT focus
Required Work Experience: 10 years experience
Required Training/Certifications: Certification in Google Workspace and Google Clous is highly desireable
Travel Requirements: up to 10% (including North America & Colombia - Digitial Data Center/Business Service Center

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Expert in the technical aspects and languages:

 

    • SMTP (including all protocols, such as SPF/DKIM/DMARC), Google Cloud & Google Workspace Configuration & Administration (including Google Cloud Directory Sync), network rules, domain management, directories, LDAP

    • Intranet / Internet content management solutions, including LumApps

    • Services , such as Mobile Device Management, SAML SSO, ...

    • Directory management skills

    • Google Cloud Platform solutions

    • Integration of (Identity & Access Management (IAM) systems (such as Saviynt) with Google Directory services

 

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and understanding IT/business processes in relation to the IT solutions
    and technologies.
  • Strong problem solving.
  • Experience in Corporate solution & services operation and delivery within an international group.

  • Very good understanding of business functional aspects of solutions.

  • Vendor Management experience is a definite advantage

  • In-depth Knowledge of Google Workspace is critical with a working knowledge of Microsoft 365 an added advantage

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
