ABOUT THE ROLE

Ensures the safe and timely delivery of aggregate materials to the proper job site. Promotes Amrize with the customer through courteous customer relations. Works as a team member with dispatch and site management to deliver product and return to the assigned work site in a timely manner for additional loads.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Customer Focus Delivers aggregate materials as customer specifies, after determining if it is safe and possible.
  • Communicates truck/job status to dispatch. Maintains good public relations with customers.
  • Maintenance Maintains appearance of truck, proper air pressure in tires, proper fluid levels, oil, hydraulic, coolant and fuel. 
  • Performs minor repairs to trucks as needed.
  • Quality Control Maintains load in transit to job.
  • OH&S/Compliance/Environmental Ensures that safety, compliance, environmental and DOT
  • requirements are followed at all times. 
  • Keeping accurate DOT logs and load sheets. Performs pre and post-trip inspections to ensure safe operation of trucks.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and
  • environmental policies in all work environments and areas. 
  • Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum of one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and Class A driving experience.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English. 
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations. 
  • Excellent driving skills.
  • Equipment Operator experience preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Must pass DOT drug screen and obtain and retain a DOT physical card. EOE/M/F/Vet/Disabled

  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.  Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Armize-approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
