ABOUT THE ROLE
The Maintenance Technician position supports the plant by checking, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Perform periodic, scheduled inspections and checks of equipment to determine whether failures or issues are present and determine how soon the corrections/adjustments may need to be made.
- Assemble and disassemble machines to make repairs, perform inspections, and replace with new items while maintaining safety and production goals in mind
- Troubleshoot equipment to identify root cause(s) and suggest appropriate follow-up actions
- Identify failed components and determine necessary replacement parts
- Interact directly with production and other plant teammates in a professional manner
- Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to receive work instructions, identify parts that belong to machines, and fully document work performed
- Comply with all safety and environmental protocols relating to operations
- Locate spare parts in the storeroom and follow stock check-out processes
- Maintain a dedicated toolbox and shared maintenance tools and supplies in an organized manner so that materials can be accessed quickly and reliably

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Five or more years’ experience in an industrial environment as a maintenance employee performing Preventive (planned) and Corrective (unplanned) Maintenance
- Knowledge of and experience working in all the following areas:
- Mechanical
▪ Power Transmission – chains, belts, gearboxes, bearings, brakes, couplings, etc.
▪ Lubrication – oils, greases, storage and handling, application, etc.
▪ Hydraulics & Pneumatics – valves, actuators, compressors and pumps, piping and tubing, etc. - Electrical
▪ DC Circuits – relays, contactors, power supplies, etc.
▪ AC Circuits (120V to 480V) – motors, drives, transformers, etc. - Process Control
▪ Industrial Automation – robotics, PID, machine control, etc.
▪ PLCs & Networking – communication, signals, I/O, LANs, etc.
- Mechanical
- Associate's degree or 2+ years of vocational training
- Experience with maintenance technologies such as Vibration Analysis, Thermography, Ultrasound Inspection, Oil Analysis, and Precision Alignment
- Certifications in mechanical/industrial fields (electrician, millwright, welding, etc.)
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT)

Working Conditions
The working conditions include an indoor, dusty, non-temperature-controlled, industrial manufacturing and warehouse environment. Subject to varying cold and hot temperatures and occasional outdoor activities in hot or adverse weather.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, including the use of lifting assistance devices
- Ability to stand for an extended period of time
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, and kneel as required
- Ability to operate mobile equipment as required
- This position has the potential to manage and handle hazardous materials and hazardous waste
