ABOUT THE ROLE
Amrize is looking for a Heavy Duty Mechanic for a permanent position located in Edmonton, AB. Heavy Duty Mechanics are responsible for equipment used in all areas of the shop and field. A high level of safety practices must be used at all times.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
-
Preventative maintenance service
-
General equipment and vehicle repairs
-
Maintain paper and electronic records
-
Diagnose and repair equipment and vehicle deficiencies
-
Maintain fleet and shop equipment
-
Production environment troubleshooting and repairs
-

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Work Experience: Knowledge and experience with hydraulics. Knowledge and experience with electrical systems and schematics.
Required Training/Certifications: Valid class 5 driver’s license
Additional Requirements:

Able to work starting from 7:00 am Monday-Fridays, and Saturdays when necessary

Prefer experience with Caterpillar loaders, excavators, and rock trucks, and hydraulic drill repairs.

General safety in and around equipment and operating plant/Shop.

Reporting unsafe job sites and procedures

Maintain a positive image to the customers and the general public

Ability to plan work and self-direct
-
Ability to work in fast-paced environment

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
