ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Quality Assurance Director strategically leads the development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive quality evaluation and control systems across the organization. This includes overseeing the design and analysis of inspection and testing processes, ensuring the precision and accuracy of products and equipment, driving root cause analysis for incidents, and establishing compliance with reliability standards and documentation requirements to uphold the highest levels of product quality and operational excellence

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH:

  • Strategic Oversight - Overseeing and directing the overall operations of quality assurance within a company to ensure continuous improvement and compliance. This involves defining and promoting a quality mindset across the entire company.
  • Quality Management System - Developing and implementing quality management systems to ensure product and service quality, and maintaining and improving quality standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Oversight - Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies, and coordinating with regulatory bodies and external auditors.
  • Quality Control, Claim Mgmt, Supplier Quality - Overseeing quality control processes to ensure products meet quality standards, and conducting regular quality audits and inspections to identify and address quality issues.This also includes establishing and enforcing quality standards, testing materials and products, and developing raw material and in-process product inspection standards.
  • Continuous Improvement - Leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency, and implementing best practices to reduce defects and improve processes. This can involve applying tools such as CAPA, SPC charts, Root Cause Analysis, and FMEA, and leading Six Sigma or Lean initiatives.
  • Leadership & Team Development - Leading and mentoring the quality assurance team, fostering a culture of high performance and professional development, and ensuring the team has the necessary skills and resources. Responsible for generating a culture of collaboration across the organization.
  • Budget & Financial Management - Achieving financial objectives by preparing the quality assurance budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Customer Experience - Gathering customer feedback through gemba and data collection on quality andperformance, ensuring products meet or exceed customer expectations, and implementing changes based on feedback
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Mgmt, or related discipline from an accredited university or college.
  • At least 8 y+ years of relevant quality, continuous improvement, manufacturing experience including at least 5 years management or direct/indirect leadership experience.
  • 3+ years of QMS / ISO9001 or similar experience required.
  • CMQ/QE, CQE, CQA are all preferred.
  • Six Sigma certification preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
  • Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
