ABOUT THE ROLE
The Utility Operator safely and efficiently performs a variety of tasks and equipment operation to assist the needs of the facility.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
• Maintain grounds, offices, warehouse, yard, etc.
• Operate and conduct general maintenance on mobile equipment
• Perform unloading functions
• Assist with general mechanical maintenance
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Required Education: High School diploma/GED; The ideal candidate will possess an Associate’s degree in a mechanical, electrical or a related field
Required Work Experience: 1-3 years
Licenses Preferred: Valid Driver’s License Required
Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic knowledge about computers, Microsoft Office and SAP.

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders and work in both hot and cold environments.
• Must be able to work in awkward positions for short periods.
• Must be able to work in confined areas and elevated platforms (working at heights).
• Knowledge of the cement manufacturing process and equipment a plus.
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and mechanical maintenance background; welding experience desired
• Autonomous, meticulous, exercises good judgment
• Ability to work well on their own and in a team environment
• Experience in the operation of heavy equipment
• The candidate must be flexible regarding his/her work schedule
• Knowledge of cement, the construction industry and integrated computer systems an asset.
