Overview
Amrize, one of Canada’s leading suppliers of Ready Mix concrete has a requirement for Ready-Mix truck drivers.  Some locations operate all year round.  Enjoy day-shifts, driving locally.  Amrize offers a competitive hourly wage in addition to a full range of company paid benefits for permanent employees.
 
Responsibilities

• Delivering concrete to customers in a safe and timely manner.
• Work safely and have a safety mindset.
• Up keep of truck appearance.
• Assist with light maintenance around the plants.
• Follows and ensures full compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Completing pre-trip inspections and other required paperwork or electronic checkpoints as instructed.
• Communicate positively and problem-solve with your plant team.
• Assist other local Ready Mix operations from time to time

 
 Qualifications

• Educational Background : Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Skills & Experience:
• Valid Class DZ drivers license or equivalent.
  • A clean driving record.
  • Manual Transmission experience an asset
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in the Muskoka trucking industry preferred
• Physical Attributes:
  • Must be able to work in outdoor and indoor work environments in all weather.
  • Availability for shift work is required.  Flexible hours may be required on occasion to meet the demands of our customers which will include overtime and weekend work.
  • Able to perform a variety of physical tasks, including lifting up to 60 lbs, stepping up, carrying, climbing, bending, reaching, push/pull, gripping, squatting, climbing ladders, etc. 
• Experience in ReadyMix not required if the candidate has a positive attitude, strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
