ABOUT THE ROLE
Operates loader as part of the final grade prep crew team. This position will support the final grade prep crew in establishing and preparing final grade for asphalt paving operations. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the requirements in establishing final grade and bring a positive attitude and a teamwork mindset.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Read and interpret site markings, grade stakes, and construction documents to understand grade and project parameters.
- Safely, and productively move and grade soils per project requirements.
- Pre and Post trip inspection of equipment to ensure equipment is in proper working condition at all times and reporting any deficiencies to the Foreman.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance (check fluid levels, grease, etc.) on loader.
- Observe and comply with all safety requirements.
- Ensure consistent communication with all field crew members.
- Teamwork mindset.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 12 months of loader operator experience with CAT 950
- Prior work experience preferred working in or around heavy equipment, construction, or paving.
- Basic mechanical maintenance knowledge and skills.
- Proven safety record.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- High school \ GED
- Bilingual Spanish/English a plus

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
