ABOUT THE ROLE 

 

The Plant Administrator will oversee the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions for the Kamloops Grind Plant. This role requires regular collaboration with the Production, Maintenance, and Finance teams to ensure the accurate and timely processing of financial and operational information. A key focus will be building strong working relationships to facilitate prompt resolution of inquiries and prevent any disruption to services.

 

This is a progressive position offering growth opportunities. As the successful candidate gains experience and develops their skill set, additional responsibilities within plant operations will be assigned.

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH                                                                                                                                                     

  • Create and manage purchase requisitions for vendors and subcontractors as required.
  • Upload job costing data and ensure accurate allocation of costs.
  • Review coding and approvals for receipt entries, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Regularly monitor and address receipts not vouchered and invoice processing errors in SAP
  • Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all transactions are complete and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Run, analyze, and maintain operational and financial reports in collaboration with the accounting team to ensure accurate reporting and adherence to processing deadlines.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with vendors, responding promptly to inquiries and service requests.
  • Monitor and reconcile bulk fuel balances regularly.
  • Perform payroll time and data entry accurately and on time.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Post-secondary diploma or degree
Field of Study Preferred: Accounting
Required Work Experience: Previous experience in AR/AP
Required Training/Certifications: Valid Driver’s License
Travel Requirements: 5%


Additional Requirements: 

  • Sound working knowledge in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, Google sheets, Google docs,
  • Knowledge of manufacturing environment would be beneficial
  • Experience with SAP would be considered an asset
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude and self-starter
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
