ABOUT THE ROLE
The Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of products to customers or other Amrize sites. This position operates heavy equipment such as ready-mix trucks, aggregate trucks, or cement bulkers.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Drive company vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver products to customers or other sites, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly, including daily logs, delivery tickets, and vehicle inspection reports.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, reporting any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to all federal, provincial, and local transportation regulations.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid AZ or DZ Driver's License with a clean abstract.
- Required Work Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in a similar industry.
- Required Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Travel Requirements: Local and regional travel required.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
